It is the position in which the exercise ends, and is not usually written if it is the same as the initial position.

 

 example (standing) raising arms aside... This means that the performer of this exercise raises the arms aside and then lowers them down in the same direction
Thus, to reach the same initial position, which is standing.

 

But if the exercise ends in a position other than the primary, then the final position must be written in this case, which may be considered a new initial position for another exercise, as in the following example 

 

(Standing) Bend the knees in half with the arms raised
